A pineapple is made from many flowers joined together
A pineapple is a multiple fruit: the fruits of roughly 100 to 200 flowers fuse as they grow. The small repeating sections on its rind show where those flowers once were.
Every little diamond on the rind joined the crowd and became one pineapple.
