Barnacles spend their adult lives head down and feet up
A young barnacle glues its head to a rock and builds a cone-shaped shell around itself. When the tide comes in, it opens the top and sweeps feathery legs through the water to collect food.
For a barnacle, dinner arrives over its toes.
