Millefiori glass is made from slices of patterned cane
A glassmaker builds a design inside a long cane of colored glass, then cuts the cane into thin slices. The small patterned pieces can be set into hot glass to make a surface full of tiny flowers and stars.
One glass cane becomes a whole tray of tiny flowers. Very efficient gardening.
