A glass bowl can begin as a pile of colored powder
In pâte de verre, glass is ground into a fine powder and mixed into a paste. The paste is packed or brushed into a mold, then fired until the grains fuse into a glass object.
First powder, then petals. The kiln handles the surprising middle.
