Gold filigree is lace made from fine twisted wire
In filigree, a goldsmith bends thin, often twisted metal wires into open curls and patterns. The delicate wire shapes are joined together to make light, detailed jewelry.
A jeweler took wire, made it curl, and kept curling until it became a flower.
