Marbled paper picks up a pattern floating on liquid
To marble paper, a maker floats colored paints on liquid in a shallow tray and moves them into swirls or combed waves. A sheet of paper is laid on top and lifts the whole pattern from the surface.
The paint gets to float around first, then becomes the fanciest page in the book.
