A fogbow is a rainbow with almost all the color softened away
A fogbow forms when sunlight passes through the microscopic water droplets in fog. Because the droplets are much smaller than raindrops, the colors overlap and the bow looks broad and white, with only faint color at its edges.
A rainbow walks into the mist and comes out wearing mostly white.
