A jar can whistle when water moves inside it
Some Chimu whistling jars have two joined chambers and a whistle hidden in a bird-shaped spout. When a half-filled jar is rocked, moving water pushes out air and creates a birdlike warble.
Pouring the water is also how the little clay bird finds its voice.
