The serpent horn curves so a player can reach its holes
The serpent is a low wind instrument and an early relative of the tuba. Its long tube bends into a snake-like shape that brings the finger holes within reach of both hands.
It looks ready to slither away, but it has a warm bass voice and excellent manners.
