This pomander opens into six tiny scent compartments
The sixteenth-century silver pomander has six hinged sections with sliding lids. Each could hold a different aromatic ingredient, including cinnamon, nutmeg, rosemary, clove, amber or scented flower water.
It is a tiny silver orange with a different smell in every slice.
