Lotus leaves make water roll away
A lotus leaf is covered in tiny waxy bumps that give water very little surface to hold onto. Drops bead up and roll off, carrying loose specks of dirt with them.
A lotus leaf does not mop up a spill. It sends the spill away with the dust.
