This hearth rack turned the toast for you
An eighteenth-century iron rack held bread above the ashes on sturdy tripod legs. Its arched supports fitted different slice sizes, and the round platform rotated so both sides could face the fire.
Give the rack a turn, and every slice gets a warmer view.
