Daphnis makes waves in a ring of ice
The tiny moon Daphnis travels inside a narrow gap in Saturn's A ring. Its gravity pulls on nearby ring particles, shaping both edges of the gap into repeating waves.
The moon passes through; the bright ring keeps a neat ripple behind it.
