Leafcutter bees make tiny rooms from circles of leaves
A female cuts rounded pieces from leaves and carries them to an existing hollow stem or hole. She overlaps the pieces to form a row of green cells, each with pollen, nectar and one egg.
The leaf keeps its polka dots; the bee gets a tiny green room.
