A wool-carder bee gathers balls of plant fluff
The female scrapes soft hairs from fuzzy leaves such as lamb's ear and carries the silvery bundle back to her nest. The plant fibers become a soft lining for the nest cells.
The leaf gets a trim; the nest gets a blanket.
