A resin bee builds a tiny waterproof pot
Some resin bees make freestanding nests from plant resin, sometimes mixed with small stones. The resin starts soft, then hardens into a waterproof chamber that may even have a tiny air spout.
Fresh resin is the clay; rain turns the finished little pot shiny.
