Ants carry Dutchman's breeches seeds by an edible handle
Each seed has a small fleshy part called an elaiosome. An ant carries the seed away, eats the pale morsel, and leaves the dark seed in a new spot where it may grow.
The ant gets a snack; the seed gets a short woodland ride.
