Some dolphins wear sea sponges on their beaks
In Shark Bay, a small number of bottlenose dolphins carry a living sponge over the tip of the beak while exploring the seafloor. Young dolphins can learn this unusual tool habit from their mothers.
For this dolphin, the tool goes on like a soft nose cap.
