A bat's feet lock into place while it hangs
Small ridges inside the tendon sheaths of a bat's feet act like a ratchet. Once the toes curl around a perch, the grip can stay closed without the bat using extra energy.
Feet on the ceiling, wings folded, completely normal bat bedtime.
