A water drop can glide on a cushion made from its own vapor
On a surface far above water's boiling point, the bottom of a drop turns to vapor so quickly that the liquid rests on a thin gas layer. The floating drop can then slide and skitter across the surface.
The drop arrives with its own tiny hovercraft.
